On the auspicious occasion of the 109th Jayanthi of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, the school came together on 5th September 2024 to celebrate and honour the revered Swamiji. The event commenced with an invocation by Sri.Vinay Bhargav, setting a serene and devotional tone for the day. The welcome address was delivered by Nisarga Patel of X std., who warmly greeted the esteemed guest of the day, Dr. Prabhuswamy, Assistant Professor, JSS Main College, Mysore.
Following the floral tributes to Sri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, the audience was enthralled by a beautiful bhajan session. The highlight of the event was a captivating dance drama performed by students, portraying the life and works of Swamiji. The performance left the audience inspired, illustrating Swamiji’s devotion to serving humanity, particularly in the realm of education and social upliftment.
Dr. Prabhuswamy, in his address, shared a heartfelt message, encouraging students to understand the principles laid down by Sri Rajendra Mahaswamiji and follow in his footsteps. He praised the efforts of the institution in nurturing the values and teachings of Swamiji and emphasised how blessed the students are to be part of such a legacy.
The prize distribution ceremony followed, where Dr. Prabhuswamy awarded the winners of the quiz competition on Sri. Rajendra swamiji’s life. This added a sense of pride and accomplishment to the celebration.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Disha Gangadhar of X std., expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. Punarvi Naveen of X std., the compere for the day, seamlessly guided the proceedings.
As a fitting end to the celebration, Kesari Bath, Bisibelebath and curd rice were served as prasadam to the entire school, symbolising the spirit of sharing and unity.
The celebration was a true reflection of Swamiji’s teachings, reminding everyone of the importance of humility, service and dedication to society.
