Apart from academics, our students participated in various state level competitions and won prizes, thereby making our school proud.
Here’s a glimpse of their success stories.

Arnav A of 10th standard ‘B’ Section, participated in the JAYCIANA chess championship held at MECH Auditorium, JSSSTU, Mysuru, on 25th June 2023. He won Second Place with a Trophy and Certificate of Appreciation.

A State Level Swimming Competition was conducted by Hassan Swimmers Club(R) on 25th June 2023. The following students won the Prizes in different events.

1st State Level open Karate Championship Mysuru 2023 organised by Shotokan Karate Do; Youth Martial Arts Academy(R), India on 2nd July 2023. The following students got the various prizes.

A M Lohith Sahukar of class VI A had participated in the Kids Summer Athletic Meet – 2023, organised by unique Athletic Clib on 18th June 2023 at Chamundi Vihar Stadium, Mysuru and has won the 2nd Place.

Druvan S of VIII ‘C’ representing Perfect Pass Bengaluru FC secured the position as first winners in perfect pass premier league S-4 on 06-07-2023 held at perfect pass, Yarganahalli, near Brigade Topaz, Bannur Main Road, Mysuru.

Saakshi S NAyak of VIII B performed dance at JAganmohana Palace on 22nd and 23rd April 2023, organised by “Kalpa Shree” performing Arts Centre Trust and she received “Natya Rani” Award.

Pahel Mehta of 4th A emerged as the winner of the drawing competition in the category of 6-10 years held at Mall of Mysore- theme My India My Pride

Kashvi.K.Pawar from 3rd C section… Kashvi had won 1st place in State level dance competition which was conducted on 26th Saturday in Jagan Mohan palace Mysore .

"Yoga Champion Saanvi Prakash: Finding Inner Peace in Victory

Saanvi Prakash of 5th std. has achieved a remarkable feat by winning first place in the Yoga competition in the age group 10-12 years at the Indo Nepal Invitational Yoga Championship-2023 at Phokra, Nepal from 26th to 29th Aug 2023 organised by Youth Sports Activities Association of India. This is a great achievement and it showcases Saanvi’s and our Yoga teacher’s (Mrs. Shylaja) dedication and skill in the field of yoga.

Mrs R Shailaja YCC, DYT MA Bed National Refree the Yoga teacher of our school, represented by country INDIA official in the INDO-NEPAL invitational championship 2023 in game Yoga as Refree held on 26th to 30th August 2023at Little Flower Educational Academy Rithepani, Kashi, Pokhara(Nepal).

Rotary School JLB Road, Mysore had conducted Story Telling Competition under the banner “Rotary Mysore Star Student of the Year 2023-24” on 23rd and 27th of July 2023.

The following students had participated and have won various prizes.

  1. Gunithavya Patel and Nisarga of VII B won the Certificate of Appreciation.
  2. Paramswamy of VII A bagged the 3rd Place in Kannada Story Telling Competition with a cash prize of Rs. 1000 and a Certificate of Appreciation.

Bhuvan A of VII A representing Perfect Pass Team RA Bona secured the position as Winners in Perfect Pass Premier League S-4 on 06-07-2023 held at Perfect Pass, Yaraganahalli, Mysore.

Shourya Rao Savanth of UKG B had participated in Fancy Dress Event in Paraga Mahotsav conducted by Phantom Studios Fundation(R) in association  with Nexus Centre City, Mysore held on 15th August 2023 and has won the First Place and a Certificate

Saakshi S Nayak of VIII B had participated in Dance Competition conducted by Vedika and secured Second Place and a Certificate of Appreciation.

Malavika S of VIII B had participated in 142nd Karnataka State Level Abacus Competition – Brainobrainfest – 2023 held on 30th July 2023 in Bangalore and she got Gold Topper and a Certificate.

Iskon, Mysore had conducted various competitions on account of Sri Krishna Janmastami in the month of August. The following students got the various prizes.

School Excursion Report: Exploring Karnataka's Rich Cultural and Natural Heritage

The school organized an educational tour to various significant destinations in Karnataka, aimed at providing students with an enriching experience of both natural wonders and historical sites. The tour covered a diverse range of locations, each offering unique insights into the state’s cultural heritage and ecological diversity.

1st std. students visited the Planet Earth Aquarium, an educational hub for aquatic life enthusiasts. Students had the chance to observe a vast array of marine species and learn about underwater ecosystems. The interactive exhibits and knowledgeable guides facilitated an engaging learning experience.

At Mysore Zoo, 2nd std. students encountered a wide variety of animals and learned about the importance of conservation efforts. The zoo’s well-maintained enclosures and informative signage allowed students to develop a deeper understanding of the animal kingdom and the need to protect biodiversity.

Talakadu’s historical significance was explored through a guided tour of its archaeological sites and ancient temples by our 3rd std. Students. They were captivated by the stories of the buried city and the shifting sand dunes, gaining insights into the region’s rich past. A visit to Suttur provided a glimpse into rural life and the temples.

Our 4th std. students visited the Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS) Backwaters that showcased the importance of water management and irrigation systems. Srirangapatna’s historical significance was evident through visits to landmarks such as Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace and the Ranganathaswamy Temple. Students gained insights into the region’s history and its role during the colonial era.

Gomatagiri offered a spiritual retreat with its monolithic statue of Bahubali and serene surroundings. Students of 5th std. learnt about Jainism and the importance of spiritual harmony. Bylakuppe, a Tibetan settlement, exposed students to Tibetan culture and Buddhism. They were amused to watch the Golden temple. A visit to Nisargadhama, a lush forest reserve, allowed students to connect with nature. The hanging bridge, wildlife encounters, and eco-friendly activities highlighted the importance of environmental preservation.

 

Melukote’s cultural significance was explored through its temples and historical structures. Students of 6th std. learnt about architectural styles and religious practices, gaining a deeper appreciation for India’s diverse heritage. The intricately carved Chennakesava Temple at Somanathapura showcased the architectural brilliance of the Hoysala dynasty. Students marvelled at the detailed sculptures and learned about the temple’s historical context.

Mudukuthore’s unique temple dedicated to Goddess Gowri provided insights into Hindu mythology and devotion. Our 7th std. Students visited the Somanthpura and Talakadu. They got to know about the architectural work of Hoysalas and Gangas.

Students of 8th std. had an opportunity to visit the Siddaganga Mutt which emphasised the importance of education and philanthropy. Students learnt about the mutt’s contributions to society and its role in providing free education to underprivileged children. Chitradurga’s historical fort complex offered a glimpse into ancient Indian military architecture. Students explored the fort’s intricate passages, watchtowers, and storerooms, gaining insights into its strategic significance. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi mesmerised students with its stunning ruins and rock-cut temples. The tour illuminated the history of the Vijayanagara Empire and its cultural impact. The tour concluded with a visit to the Tungabhadra Dam, showcasing modern engineering and its role in irrigation and power generation. Students learnt about water resource management and the dam’s contributions to the region’s development.

The school tour provided students with a comprehensive and immersive experience of Karnataka’s cultural heritage and natural diversity. The destinations visited offered valuable educational insights, fostering a deeper understanding of history, culture, ecology and responsible tourism. The tour undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the students, enriching their knowledge beyond the classroom.
